Acting Jobs

There are literally thousands of acting jobs out there at any given time. Some are for you and some aren't. Many of them will be taken by people who didn't really deserve it, many others by people who really aren't good enough. The select few actually go to people who have worked hard for years and sacrificed everything in order to get to the point where they can make a living doing acting jobs.

What does this mean to you? Why should you care about acting jobs and who gets them? Why is it important to know that they don't always go to the most talented or deserving person? Because you will have these thoughts every time you go out for an audition and someone else gets the part even though you have been trying out and hustling for acting jobs for years.

The good thing is that this can also work in your favor. Keep in mind when you go on casting calls that one of those acting jobs could just as easily and unexpectedly fall into your lap when you least expect it. You may have been off that day, late, not felt right, left feeling like a screw up, but the next thing you know you're getting a call to come back in for call backs, or better yet, scheduling. Acting jobs may not always only come when you're feeling extra confident about your abilities or performance.
